Climate change and ocean processes
Change in the oceans is a feature of the 21st century. This program is about detecting and understanding the observed changes in oceans from rising greenhouse gases and natural variations that are driving shifts in ocean systems. Fundamental to these changes is understanding the processes on the large scale ocean circulation including biogeochemistry, acidity, sea-level, sea-ice dynamics and the biophysical dynamics of ecosystems.
