Larson is coming to UTAS to deliver a public lecture on Aussies on Ice: the Australian Contribution to the Antarctic Expeditions of Scott and Shackleton.&lt;/h5&gt;

&lt;h5&gt;Prof Larson holds the Hugh and Hazel Darling Chair in Law and is University Professor of History at Pepperdine University and recipient of&amp;nbsp; 1998 Pulitzer Prize in History.&lt;/h5&gt;

&lt;h5&gt;He served as Associate Counsel for the U.S. Congress Committee on Education and Labour (1983-87) and an attorney with a major Seattle law firm (1979-83) and retains an appointment at the University of Georgia, where he has taught since 1987.&lt;/h5&gt;

&lt;h5&gt;Prof Larson is the author of the 2011 book &amp;ldquo;An Empire of Ice: Scott, Shackleton and the Heroic Age of Antarctic Science&amp;quot;&lt;/h5&gt;

&lt;h5&gt;Presented by the UTAS Faculty of Law, the Institute&amp;nbsp;for Marine and Antarctic Studies, ACE (Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems) CRC and the Australian Antarctic Division.&lt;/h5&gt;

&lt;h5&gt;Professor Larson will be signing his book after the lecture.&lt;/h5&gt;
