Hobart has three coordinating lead authors - more than than any other city on Earth - for the Working Group I Contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis. One of those authors, Professor Nathan Bindoff, and A/Professor Peter Strutton talk about their work with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at UTAS. April 2012: IMAS Artist-in-Residence and Lynchpin patron Dr Nigel Helyer introduces "VOX on the ROX", an arts-science collaboration with Dr Mary-Anne Lea of IMAS and musicians from the UTAS Conservatorium of Music to test whether musical interpretation of scientific data strings can both provide meaningful music as well as added interpetation of data patterns not detected by conventional scientific analysis.
