Dr Floriaan Devloo-Delva

What did you like best about the program?

The program brings together students from different fields of research under the common goal to improve our quantitative understanding to the marine realm. I have enjoying the close friendships I have build during my PhD, where the QMS symposium was the highlight of the year.

How has it helped you in your current career?

Make new connections within the University and CSIRO. The quantitative skills have led to securing my current position.

What was your favourite unit and why?

While I first feared the “ Data Analysis Methods” unit, in retrospect it was definitely the most valuable course for my career.

What is your current role?

CSIRO postdoctoral fellow - adaptation genomics and epigenomics of fishes.
